The Price of Leasing a Business
Do you have a copier that makes over 1,000 copies each month. If so, you might be able to save money on leasing your next business copier over purchasing it outright. A quality brand-name copier can cost you tens of thousands of dollars to buy outright, but when you lease, you can lower that price to as little as $150 to $2000 a month. The price depends on the features that you choose like color copies, two-sided copying and varied paper sizes. Some of the other features that impact the price include:
- Copier Speed
- Quality of the Imaging
- Scanning Options
- Multiple Paper Trays
Before you ever put pen to paper, however, make sure that you check for the toner and service as included. You also want to know what the service plan covers. Many times leasing companies will charge you for the shipping, but this is something that you can negotiate out of the contract. Leases might also have a return policy on the copier where you pay for the shipping. Considering that shipping some copiers can cost as much as $800, you want to make sure that you do not have that in your clause. Also, find out if the service and toner will be included in the contract and learn what it covers. You can do really well with a service contract, but you have to understand the do’s and don’ts to make it successful.
