When A Copier Buyout is a Bad Idea

If you have been offered a buyout on your current copier, you might be ready to spend way too much.  Before you write that check to buy out the copier, here are some factors to be aware of. 

1. every company that returns a copier in Pittsburgh sends them to the leasing company and then the leasing company sells the same copier they are trying to sell you for $3000 for $300.  Once they get it back, they purge.  Generally a lease buyout is a way for the bank to make a lot more money.
2. there are a lot of desktop copiers out there now and the copiers are fairly cheap.  Some of these copiers are $2000 to $2500 and cheaper than the buyout prices.  Features may vary, so its always good to keep that in mind.
